Medicaid

Medicaid is a public health coverage program paid for by the federal government and the State of Florida. In Florida, eligibility for most Medicaid coverage is decided by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), and applications are usually submitted through the state's ACCESS Florida system.

Who it is for

Medicaid is for people with limited income and resources. Rules differ by group, such as older adults, people with disabilities, children, pregnant women, and parents or caretakers. Some Medicaid programs can also help pay for long-term care.
